My goodness, be careful out there. Are the locusts swarming this year?
I think the earth is trying to turn inside out and is ejecting projectiles as it does this, and many natural formations take the shape of the vortex or spiral.
As for hiding from the wrath thrown from the gates of hell, I find that this computer chair serves me well as an insulator from all that. Just in case, I keep a fly swatter handy. Oh, and I also have several of those plastic sticky bug traps sitting around to superglue the bug intruders that get past my lines of defense. I haven't yet decided on a catch and release program for bugs as I'm quite content to keep them on display.
Oh, and if you have a problem with black flies around your home, hang ziploc bags of water in the same area where the flies are swarming. They think the water bags are wasp nests and stay away. At least this works for the Ky flies. I don't know about the Canadian flies.
